The second meeting of the French multi-stakeholder platform of the 4CE-MED project was held on September 1st in Dijon.
On this occasion, the first results of the Camelina 2021 trials were shared with farmers, techno-economic actors (Terres Inovia), processing operators (Saipol – Avril group) and institutions (Ministry of Agriculture and Food). While some crop rotations remain risky (summer double cropping systems), other opportunities are interesting (autumn sowing and sowing after a multiservice cash cover crop). Experimental priorities were also discussed as well as regulation bottleneck and sustainability assessment.
The insertion of Camelina is studied in a logic of agroecological transition and bioeconomy.
The day ended with the visit of a Camelina trial sown after winter energy cover crop in early June.
The trial was ready to harvest the next day.
