One field day event was organized on 6-April-2021 by Office National du Conseil Agricole, ONCA (Moroccan National Office of Agricultural Council) and ICARDA-Morocco to show farmers types of farming systems and crops for diversification in crop rotation in wheat-based farming systems. Twenty farmers and ONCA officials participated in this one-day event. As a part of this event, the different stakeholders namely the farmers (including lead farmers), ONCA representatives, farm managers, researchers from INRA-Morocco, visited ICARDA Marchouch Farm in Morocco to acquaint with on-going research on farming systems, crop improvement, crop diversification and demonstration trials.
The farmers were given lectures on farming systems including conservation agriculture and oil seed crops.
